Sažetak
In this article, the examples of geotechnic in the function of environment protection with a accent on slope stabilization and arrangement. The focus example on which the theme will be analyzed is the tail race at the hydroelectric plant Varaždin, built by a deep pit in a predominantly gravel composition of Drava aggradations. At the channel slope, since the construction work began, erosion places occur: eruptions, land slopes and gullies, mostly in the water plane level. The method of slope remediation, according to the safety and stability estimation, solution quality and environment arrangement and the remediation requirements, will be analyzed and commented.One also warns of the sensitive intake related to the often unexpected natural ridge destabilization which results with negative variations in nature.
