Sažetak
The full and partial hydrogeological barriers together with terrains of low and high permeability, springs and surface watercourses have been mapped. The Mayor karst aquifers are highly vulnerable but the quality of groundwater is reasonably good due to the low development in the high karst, where the chief recharge is occurring. The adequate protection zones in the basins and around the springs should be determined and legalized as soon as possible in order to frame a sustainable development as the policy for protection of the groundwater recharge area.
