Sažetak
In selecting topics for design investigation an optimal design procedure has to be considered. Depending of the nature of optimization problems it can be distinguished cross-sectional optimization, shape optimization, layout optimization and material optimization. The present paper deals with the cross-sectional optimization of different prescribed cross-sectional shapes. In all of considered problems the cross-section area is object function while stress, strain and prescribed ratio of given properties are treated as constraints. Some of given solution in a graphical way are presented. A special problem where shear stress concentration is the most important constraint the numerical determination procedure of shear stress distribution which is based on cross-sectional warping is presented too.
