Sažetak
Native almond and pistachio species are mainly spread in southern Mediterranean regions of Croatia where cultivation of almonds is also present. Cultivated pistachio (Pistacia vera) is not intensively grown for now (except rarely in private gardens), although the growing conditions are favorable. Native species of pistachio are represented by Pistacia terebinthus L. and Pistacia lentiscus L. On these almond and pistachio species, as a part of scientific project "Chorology of plant pathogenic fungi on plants of special importance in flora of Croatia", several species of phytopathogenic fungi were found and determined based on morphological characteristics of sporulating organs, observed either directly in vivo on infected plant samples or in vitro on pure cultures in laboratory. On P. dulcis (cultivated or sweet almond) the following phytopathogenic species of fungi were found: Alternaria alternata, Fusicoccum amygdali, Monilinia laxa, Polystigma fulvum, Stigmina carpophila, Tranzschelia pruni-spinosae, Tranzschelia discolor, Taphrina deformans, Venturia carpopohila and Verticillium spp. On species Prunus tenella (dwarf almond), which in Croatia grows only in the region of Baranja in continental part of the country and is accounted among strongly protected plant species, no phytopathogenic fungi were found. On Pistacia terebinthus (terebinth) rust fungal species Pileolaria terebinthi was found, while fungal species Phyllosticta lentisci which was found on P. lentiscus (mastic).
