Sažetak
In this paper the genetic algorithm is applied to the steady state load point calculation of the synchronous generator. The objective of the genetic algorithm is to find correct value of the field current and load angle for a given terminal load condition. Genetic algorithm starts with initial population, which is randomly defined. Searching in the variables range is improved by elitism. The objective function is based on maximizing the inverse value of differences between given and calculated values for terminal voltage and power angle. Genetic algorithm is coupled to the 2D finite element method.
