Sažetak
Generally, material response or its behaviour under specific load may be classified as elastic or inelastic. The shape of stress-strain curve depends on the material itself and the test conditions. This paper deals with the viscoplastic material response which is nonlinear and time-dependent. The aim of the paper is to present the possibility of the numerical modelling of the time-dependent phenomena such as creep and relaxation processes. The prediction of the viscoplastic material behaviour is presented by overlay technique using finite element method. For justification of the proposed method two examples are shown.
