Sažetak
Development of the quality assurance system at the University of Rijeka started within the reform of Croatian higher education system and supports a strong tendency to join European higher education area. Within past few years major changes were done and a quality assurance system was created from scratch. Now it is time to set further tasks and goals to gain full functionality of quality assurance system. In this paper the past, present and, in authors opinion, a future of quality assurance system at the University of Rijeka are discussed taking into account specific circumstances of continuous changing in higher education in Europe as well as in Croatia.
