Sažetak
Modern design of any structures, including energetic system members, can be based on analytical, numerical and experimental investigations. Because of optimal process design and lifetime assessment, the most reliable toll in structural design in present time is numerical procedure based on high speed computers. It is a considerable interest to make a possibility of material behavior prediction at special environments conditions. In past time design of any equipment member has been based on safety factor while optimal design philosophy was practically neglected. Taking in consideration material properties at given environment conditions, necessary design life as well as limiting design strain a good structural design using finite element procedure can be obtained. The paper is focused on pressurized equipment members, like piping or pressure vessels where multiaxial state of stress is involved at special environment conditions. In numerical procedure, mechanical sublayer method using finite element technique is used.
