Sažetak
Paper discusses current tourism offer in houses of traditional construction, i.e. in old and traditional houses, often of rural, but also urban character. Rural tourism and special offer of accommodation in houses which are characterized by traditional architecture and reflect the culture of a specific region or a nation are carefully examined. The research uses results of already carried out renovations of traditional houses in Istria, Dalmatia and Gorski kotar - the houses which have successfully found their place in the European tourism market. Methods of research used in the analysis are deductive, inductive and quantitative methods. Renovated houses which stress the cultural offer shape new forms of tourism offer and instigate renovation and employment in regions which suffer demographic shortages, therefore become the champions of development and living standard.
