Sažetak
Several 1, 1'-ferrocenylenebiscarbinols (2) were prepared by reduction of the corresponding 1, 1'-diacylferrocene (1 ; R=CH3, C6H5, p-ClC6H4, and m-CH3C6H4) with sodium borohydride. Condensations of the carbinols prepared with methylisocyanate in boiling toluene gave alpha, alpha-(1, 1'-ferrocenylene)bis(N-ethyl-N, N'-dimethylurea) (4a) and alpha, alpha-(1, 1'-ferrocenylene)bis(N-arylmethyl-N, N'-dimethylureas) (4b -4d).
