Sažetak
The purpose of this work is to present investigation of the thrust force generated during drilling process. The thrust force acting on drill is the sum of three components: the cutting component, the thrust force attributed to ploughing at the chisel edge and the thrust force resulting from friction at the margin. The thrust force structure is determined by experimental decomposition of the drilling process. The result of the simulation study has shown a very good agreement between the theoretical predictions and experimental evidence.
