Sažetak
For producing benzene from the surplus of toluene from platforming, hydrodemethylation is a significant commercial process. In this paper the variations of the main process parameters were made in order to determine the limit values. The material balance include following data: feed composition, hydrogen rich gas composition, vent gas and product composition. The runs were designed to cover temperatures from 880, 5 K to 939, 5 K and hydrogen to hydrocarbons ratio from 5, 56 to 9, 99 mol/mol. The maximum selectivity and the best conversion under given conditions were calculated.
