Sažetak
In this paper a series of test including non-prismatic channels and supercritical flows, hydraulic jumps and smooth transitions is presented in order to investigate this problem
a contribution to the research and comparison of one-dimensional (1d) and two-dimensional (2d) shallow water models is presented. For both mathematical models a state of the art numerical scheme, Q-scheme is applied and computer programs are developed. Results of measurements and of simulation of the two approaches on the propagation of water waves in the lower part of river Rjecina are compared. Differences between 1d and 2d shallow water modeling due to different mathematical and numerical modeling are analyzed.
