Sažetak
One of the possible places where adult mosquitoes can hibernate are cellars. Due to the ecological conditions the cellars in town Osijek were divided in three categories. In category A are cellars in the old buildings which are dept, underground, cold and humid and the hibernating mosquitoes are very numerous, on the average of 581 individuals per square meter (somewhere 4000 ind/m2), but only Culex pipiens modestus cuold be find. B category made shallow and humid cellars of newly private houses in which hibernata Culex pipiens, Anopheles maculipennis and Culiseta annulata on the average of 52 ind/m2. In cellars C category (dry) mosquitoes hibernate on tha average of three ind/m2, only.
