Sažetak
As most of the developing countries, Croatia lacks in equity for its economic development. In order to ensure its easiest possible implementation, the acceptance of foreign capital into national economy must be regulated both by law and economy. In accordance to this, and in order to stimulate social development and ensure profit to potential investors, attention must be paid to direct investments into most favourable sectors. Foreign investment of various forms can be found within Croatian economy, i.e. as: international public investments, international institutions’ investments, state investment, private equity, with various other investment forms already implemented. Within a present social moment, and due to the economic and legal insecurity and a high corruption level within the country, significant foreign public and private investors primarily show investment interest in large infrastructural objects, like roads, harbours, tourism objects, and various other similar objects, in order to secure themselves by direct state protection. With good insight of lower development levels, Croatian managers and undertakers which tend to accept foreign investment into their business transactions must pay particular attention to use it in order to achieve the conceived social development, and try to avoid international speculative investment. Regulations ensuring legal and financial security of investments could primarily be requested from the state. Good investment connoisseurs therefore recommend the use of internationally respected and solid business firm services.
