Sažetak
Although barcode was invented about sixty years ago, barcode technology became applicable for value-added services in telecommunication industry just few years back. Nevertheless, some issues regarding reliability, security and performance still exist, and therefore mobile ticket lifecycle has to be analyzed carefully in order to be adopted and implemented into a given system. This paper presents implementation results for two mobile ticket validation systems for a real-life m-ticketing project, with further evaluation of different validation specifics, e.g. supported online or offline validation methods and barcode types suitable for usage on mobile phones. Lessons learned are also given, along with comments on related work and recommendation for future work.
