Sažetak
One of the major requirements placed on metallurgical industry is the reheating of steel semi-products at the requested temperature necessary for further technology process. Heating process is conducted in the push furnace under the temperatures 900-1300C and these accelerate the oxidation of the heated material surface and following scale formation. Formed scales affect the intensity of the heating process, life of heating facilities and technological utility properties of the heated steel. For this reason significant work is devoted to the task to reduce the amount of the formed scales. It is important to stress that beside the nominal heat consumption and thermal efficiency the metal loss due to the scales formation ranks among the important indexes reflecting the furnace operation.
