Sažetak
Nowadays almost everybody has and uses e mail account for personal and professional communication. Many of them use free web-based e-mail accounts instead of the institutional ones not bothering how secure they really are. The aim of this research was to analyze the e-mail addresses of the corresponding authors from the field of biomedicine who published their research in the Croatian Medical Journal (CMJ) in year 2008. Authors made test on several free and institutional web-based e-mail accounts by using session hijacking hacking tool to compare their security level. As a conclusion, authors explained the model of three e-mail accounts. The results of this research show that for professional usage one should use institutional e-mail address and may serve as a starting point for further investigation of security issues regarding e-mail communication as part of the ICT system.
