Sažetak
In the Numismatic Collection of the Zagreb Archaeological Museum there is a handful of very clumsy forgeries of Roman coins, cast in lead. On the obverse one can see a head - radiate or with hair in disorder – an on the reverse a laurel wreath with an illegible inscription both within and around it. Most probably these six identical forgeries were imitating the VOTA issues of the Constantine's dynasty. Four of these forgeries were found during the extensive dredging of the Kupa (Colapis) at Sisak (Siscia) undertaken by the Archaeological Department of the Croatian National Museum in Zagreb in 1912. Two more specimens came to the Museum in 1925. The dredgings were initiated by the museum director Josip Brunšmid and organized by an engineer, Antun Bukvić of Sisak, who was always present on the site. The first dredging was made in 1909 and was continued in 1911, 1912 and 1913. The richest archaeological finds were made in 1912, enriching the Zagreb Archaeological Museum's Roman Collection. These dredgings are very well documented in the Museum archives.
