Sažetak
Several new mixed-halogenido hexanuclear clusters of niobium and tantalum were synthesized by using solid-state high-temperature technique. Structural analysis of four chlorido-bromido new clusters is presented. The bridging (Li) ligand positions are randomly occupied by chlorine and bromine. Two of the analyzed cluster compounds are diamagnetic (VEC = 16) and crystallize with the [HgBr4]2– counteranions in the cubic space group Fd3-m. The other two crystallize with the [NEt4]+ cations and Br– anions in the tetragonal space group I41/a having paramagnetic cluster units (VEC = 15).
