Sažetak
In the paper is given a view of documented natural clay slope landslides in the north - west of Croatia in the sense of geometric size, the shear strength parameter values, causes of landslides forming and the adequate methods of remedy. The results of the natural landslides statistical analysis show that the most of the landslides consist of illite clay lie on a marly stratum base. Further on, the connection of the geometric sizes and cause of landslide forming with index property of soil (plasticity index) and shear strength parameter values are shown. Based on the supposed relation between the mentioned values, a preview of conducted back analysis of landslide sliding mechanisms is given. In that manner it was possible to verify the reliability of the evaluation of the shear strength parameters during the natural landslide slide. The results of the conducted analyses give a more precise insight into the real values of relevant soil parameters on landslides and enable more precise predictions of landslide behaviour and their optimum remedy.
