Sažetak
This paper starts from the idea that orientation to quality is extremely important for company performance. In these terms we will investigate the performance of Croatian manufacturing companies that have introduced the ISO standard in comparison to those that have not introduced them, in order to evaluate the difference between the two observed groups. We start from the assumption that the introduction of ISO standard is a good indicator of care for the quality of process and product, even though not the only one, and that our research will enable us to confirm the relation of quality and business strategy, as well as their effect on the company performance. Consequently, the basic hypothesis of this work is as follows: Companies that have introduced the ISO standard are more successful in realization of their business strategy and they have a better position in the market.
