Sažetak
The present paper discusses the first results of a research conducted in the Eastern part of Croatia. The aim of the research was to investigate the influence of social variables onto the language learning, as well as to define the properties of the language learning context using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The research itself was conducted in several Croatian secondary schools, as well as a bilingual Croatian-Hungarian secondary school in Croatia.
