Sažetak
In the present work investigated the sorption of the metal ions on waste mould sand, which is solid residue of gray iron foundry industry. Waste mould sand can be used as a new sorption material for removing some toxic metals from aqueous solution. The system variables studied include initial concentration of Ni(II) and Cr(VI) ions and agitation time. Metal ion sorption was strongly dependent on initial concentration and agitation time. The experimental data fitted well to the Freundlich and Langmuire isotherms.
