Sažetak
Pure metals and alloys produced by any procedure whatsoever contain besides other mixtures also a certain amount of gases. Gases in castings of different metals occur in the shape of gas bubbles, solutions (interstitiously diluted), chemical compounds. Depending on the kind of metal, one or the other gas may predominate, but most often they come together. Gas bubbles usually have straight, smooth, non-oxidized surface and in castings they deteriorate general mechanical properties of the metal.
