Sažetak
This article discusses increasing importance of endothelins in oncology and clinical medicine. Endothelins are ubiquitous regulatory peptides consisting of 21 amino acides. Endothelin-1(ET-1) is a potent vasoactive and a mitogenic peptide produced by the vascular endothelium. Many tumor types are reported to secrete ET-1.
