Sažetak
In order to maintain competitiveness and achieve the projects limited with the time and resources, construction, software and other project-oriented companies are forced to effectively plan, execute and control the activities of projects, reduce costs and non value added activities. Thus, companies need to be supported with the system of measuring project performance with the primary aim of determining the final cost and project milestone. The system which allows project monitoring, with defined and updated milestones, schedules, budget and performance measurements, is called the Earned Value Management (EVM). Already in the early phase of the project execution, the Earned Value analysis provides accurate and transparent information about the progress of the project. Therefore, internal users get powerful decision support system, correct and more precise tracking and recognition of the economic benefits of the project, closer relationship between project performance and accounting evidence.
