Sažetak
No matter which discipline we're talking about, the success in swimming depends on age, individual level of biological precocity, the level of swim quality and physical conditioning. There has been registered a difference in quality of energy related and tactical preparedness factor among seniors, which has a cause-and-affect relation with the factor of technical economy in swimming. Together, those factors determine a success, that is, a better result. Although some young swimmers tend to mature rapidly in biological sense and therefore acquire some features of adult swimmers, they, nevertheless, can't reach the high level of mechanical efficiency. The very same component occurs through better motor co-ordination and technical performance as a result of long-years training procedures and is exactly the preference of seniors. Adequate level of psychophysical conditioning, optimum relation of stroke frequency and length along with quality performance of the turn, are determinants of technical and tactical realisation of the race and juniors should focus on them. Future researches should attend further development of juniors when stepping out into senior competitions and observe how many of them achieve maximum results in that category.
