Sažetak
With its properties, high-density polyethylene (PE-HD) is the material that satisfies requests put up before producers of natural gas pipes. In the past 5· · · 10 years PE-HD has been mainly used in producing gas pipes, which lead to its huge expansion in Croatia. This paper describes three processes of assembling gas PE pipes: butt fusion welding, electro fusion welding and thermo fusion welding, it also suggests the best process for assembling PE pipes in gas distribution pipelines.
