Sažetak
In railway traffic the German language has great influence on the technical and scientific terminology which is currently in use. The influence of the German language on the language of railway transport profession is basically of historical origin closely related to the inventions of the steam engine and the construction of the railway lines in the Austrian and Hungarian monarchy to which Croatia belonged in the 18, 19, and a part of the 20 century. This influence of the German language on the Croatian technical language and specialised terminology has remained until the present day.
