Sažetak
Rapid industrialisation and growth of so.called advanced technology cause irreparable environmental changes nowadays. Damages are done on entire ecosystem. Soil, water and air are affected. Food as the life essence is in danger, too. Contaminants present in food as a result of pollution are toxicant heavy metals and non-metals, pesticides, ferilisers, radioactie elements, antibiotic residues and hormones, Fruits and vegetables have a great importance in healthy diet for the amount of protective substances. Fruits and vegetables inadequately theaten with pesticides during dultivation contain pesticide residues which could be harmful for consumer's health. In this work authors have presented the result of pesticide residues analysis in fruits and vegetable bought on free market, in Primorsko-goranksa Country, since 1995. until 1998. This ruits and vegetables could be groceries for hotel restaurants, and that was the reason for autohors to do the research.
