Sažetak
From 1985, when the objectives for IMT-2000 (International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) (then called Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunication Systems (FPLMTS)) where set up by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) till 1999 when the standard finally becomes to take the form, the standardization was ongoing process. The history of making standards is changed. Now the active parts are among standardization houses are associations of manufactures and operators. The formal approval of IMT-2000 standards is planned for the June 2000.
