Sažetak
1(4-Acetylaminobenzenesulfonyl)-1a,2,6,6a-tetrahydro-1H,4H-/1,3/-dioxepino/5,6-b/azirine (PL 611), is antihyperglycemic originated in Pliva. Genotoxic properties of the drug were investigated using Ames test. For detecting frameshift and base supstitution mutations we used Salmonella typhimurium (TA98, TA1538, TA100 and TA1535) with and without metabolic activation. On the other hand, the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain D7) was chosen as the eukaryotic test system to evaluate the induction of gene conversion. The results obtained demonstrate that PL 611 no caused mutagneic and recombinogenic effects.
