Sažetak
Public city transport is one of the most important factors for the functioning of life and work in large urban communities. Apart from the bus transport, the majority of cities also use railed transport (tram, LRT, metro) as the skeleton of the public city transport. In order to achieve an as favourable as possible access to the railed system, it passes through the very centre of the city at the ground level or below it. Because of that, tracks are situated immediately at the residential and business buildings, but also near historical buildings, which are often very fragile. In such cases, it is necessary to take measures to decrease spreading of vibrations caused by railed vehicle circulation to the surrounding buildings, so as to avoid their damaging. This paper presents measures to decrease spreading of vibrations caused by tram circulation on two locations in the City of Zagreb, Jurisiceva – Draskoviceva tram track intersection and tram tracks on underground garage at Kvaternik Square. Test results have shown satisfying reductions of ground vibrations.
