Sažetak
An investigation on the growth and cropping of plum trees, which were cultivated on heavy soil, was conducted for nine years after planting (1997-2005). The experiment includedplum cultivars Felsina, Elena and Top, grafted on rootstocks Fereley Jaspy (P.salicina x P.spinosa) and GF 655/2 (P.insititia), and planted at three densities (3.8 x 1.8, 3.8 x 2.2 and 3.8 x 2.6 m). In our growing conditions, among cultivars in trial, 'Elena' is the most promising for modern, intensive plum growing because was precocious, productive and gave fruits of good quality.
