Sažetak
Summer aspect of benthic algal community on the Island of Lokrum and opposite coastline of Dubrovnik examined by SCUBA diving. Algae were collected from August to September 1960 and 1961, and in July 1974, and 1979, the year, with a greater number of vertical and horizontal profiles within the upper, middle and lower infralittoral. Among the collected samples determined 1 species seagrass and 234 taxa of benthic algae (157 Rhodophyta, 38 Phaeophyta and 39 Chlorophyta). Its geographic position, near of mainland, and despite the strong influence of the open sea, Lokrum its benthic flora shows the transitional form between the southern coastal facies and facies of open sea.
