Sažetak
This report describes an efficient way of modelling lossy multiconductor transmission lines (MTL) excited by incident field with assumption of transverse electromagnetic (TEM) mode propagation based on the work by Shinh et al. ‘ Fast Transient Analysis of Incident Field Coupling to Multiconductor Transmission Lines’ (1) . Near‐ end and far‐ end voltages and currents, induced due to the field excitation, are calculated for different angles of arrival of planar wave electromagnetic radiation. Multiconductor transmission lines are modelled by using an algorithm based on delay extraction which combines the method of characteristics (MoC) for modelling lossless part, and pure resistive network for modelling lossy part of MTL subnetworks, while ensuring macromodel passivity. Time‐ domain responses of modelled MTLs are obtained by using numerical calculation.
