Sažetak
Teachers’ ICT competencies are almost as important in the education of the new generation of teachers as the subject that they teach. In our study the basic ICT competencies of high school teachers and their innovative use of ICT in education were analyzed in relation to gender, age, Internet access and other demographic variables. The subjects in our study were 371 teachers from the Osijek-Baranja County of Croatia. The teachers’ gender was found to have only a minor influence on their ICT competencies. However, the teachers’ age and their experience in using computers were related to most of the teachers’ basic ICT competencies. Interestingly, Internet access at home and school was not related to most of the ICT competencies of high school teachers.
