Sažetak
Photoelastic investigations of tooth root stresses in high contact ratio gears were carried out. The photoelastic model had two gear segments in mesh, which could be shifted and respectively rotated, in order to obtain differet positions of the mating gears with the double or triple teeth pairs contact. The model was to simulate the real total load distribution on teeth pairs. The experimental results showed significant concordance with the theoretical calculations. A comparison of experimental results with the values that are obtained by using the DIN-Standard HCR-gears calculation, shows that DIN-Standard procedure gives rather inaccurate results, although they are "on the safe side".
