Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to develop a model for selection of appropriate investment fund. The choice of funds, or the choice of investment dispersion, is a typical multicriteria problem that will here be solved by application of multicriteria analysis method. The problem is set from the aspect of small individual investor willing to invest a certain amount of money in one of the investment funds. The choice of investment fund(s) includes all the essential characteristics of multicriteria decision making problem. Namely, based on the differing and conflicting criteria it is necessary to choose from the finite number of alternatives (funds) the best alternative or a set of the best alternatives. Naturally, if the decision were made according to only one criterion, e.g. the maximal annual yield, the problem would be a very simple one. Numerous different criteria create additional problems that will be solved in this paper. The solution will be achieved by use of multicriteria decision making model combining two frequently used methods: AHP and PROMETHEE.
