Sažetak
As Croatia moves toward EU membership and EU Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) framework, its agriculture policy shows evidence of coordination with the EU legislative and administrative systems. Croatia’ s Rural Development Strategy supports reforms to promote cooperative business development in order to increase agriculture market efficiency, improve the quality of agriculture commodities, and generate employment in rural regions of Croatia. One method support that can assist entrepreneur’ s motivation to establish a cooperative is a basic reference on cooperative business organization that can be used as a reference for those who want to learn how a cooperative business operates differently than other legal forms of business in Croatia. Will the cooperative increase the profits of the producers at their business level? There are many economic advantages to the cooperative form of business. Understanding how to organize and operate a cooperative so the economic benefits of the cooperative are realized is absolutely essential to making wiser business decisions. Entrepreneurs may not be motivated to form such a business because they do not believe it can improve their well- being because of a lack of understanding about how a cooperative business functions in the agriculture sector. A cooperative business reference book seeks to dispel myths about cooperative businesses.
