Sažetak
Insulin resistance and C reactive protein are associated with high-normal UAE in type 1 diabetic patients. The independent relation of diabetes duration with eGDR and C-reactive protein suggest that chronic exposure to glucose may stimulate an increase in insulin resistance and induce inflammatory activity already at the normoalbuminuric stage.
