Sažetak
Internet has become the media that has finally given tourist workers the opportunity to reach a high number of spatially distant consumers through accessible prices. Up to few years ago, the distribution channels in tourism, used to involve a number of agents positioned between a tourist company and a customer, which was a relatively complex and long lasting process in placing, making reservations or selling the tourist capacities. By using the on line reservation system, nowadays, the time has been minimized, the security increased, and the process and place of booking simplified. The aim of this paper is to present the research results that can answer the query: Are the online reservation systems used in the selling process of tourist capacities of destination of Zadar, and if so, to which extent are they used? The research results will be analyzed by using different statistical methods. Conclusively, for the purpose of improving the quality of the tourism, Zadar’ s tourist companies will be given a recommendation for the future practice of the reservation system.
