Sažetak
Quality work in the area of special needs requires knowlege, constant specialization and a intrinzic motivation for adequate outcome and satisfaction for client. Care and support system of for persons with special needs in Croatia function on different levels and our model has got some open questiones. Its resolutions would significantly improve quality of life of these people In Rehabilitation center, clinical unit of Faculty of education and rehabilitation, we perform educative, professional and scientific work and develop specific model of educational rehabilitational support. It is based on interdisciplinarity, team colaboration and implementation of latest science data and metods. Its charachteristics are development of new approaches and procedures on the basis of clinical experience, designed according to the features of existing systems of help, care and education as well as some other systems. Purpose of this paper is to give ovreview of activities conducted in Rehabilitation centre with elaboration of specific approaches related with areas of speech and language pathology, special education and social pedagogy. Will be highlighted in the work of the specifics of smaller units arising from the modern European and American approaches and our realities. Based on the data of clients, experts and reviews as well as pending issues of the system, we will try to describe the position and role of educational rehabilitational professions: prof. speech and language therapist, prof. inclusive education and rehabilitation and prof. social pedagogy in Croatia.
