Sažetak
This paper is adressed on analysing communication skills of reference librarians in problem-situations connected to IT in general sense. IT problem-situation as applied research methodology is simulated by forwarding beforehand well designed requests to reference librarian, in range from “ unfeasible inquiries” - such as searching for a non-existent web page – till those which demand connecting of one of the recent IT portable devices to the internet access computers (e.g. USB memory stick). Beforehand, independing of simulated IT problem-situations, the general level of librarian’ s adeptness in information technology is cheking by the questionnaire. The aim of analysing in this paper – behind the verifying of librarian’ s adeptness in information technology – is estimation of communication skills of reference librarian in IT problem-situations, with emphasis on the level of intelligibility and simplicity usage of the basics IT terms in communication with users.
