Sažetak
The present paper is concerned with collocational ranges in language contact, specifically with collocational ranges of English-based borrowed elements in German. A comparison of the collocational ranges of given lexical items in the two systems reveals that some near-synoymous English-based borrowed eleements in German such as Boß, Baron, Mogul, etc. are potentially tricky false-friends since their collocational ranges exhibit structures that are pseudo-anglicisms of an unusual type.
