Sažetak
The aim of this work is to analyze the presence of conceptual metaphors in the speech of two American presidents: G.W. Bush and Barack Obama. The results of the analysis show that conceptual metaphors used by G.W. Bush are mainly concerned with war, struggle, and family. The most frequent metaphors used by B. Obama are those dealing with empathy, responsibility, freedom, fairness and opportunity. These two politicians use different concepts in their public speech.
