Sažetak
A chance find of an iron sword, attributable to Late Tene on the basis of typological features, comes from the village of Gaćište in the proximity of Virovitica. A large number of lowland settlements in the Podravina area is known from that period of development of the La Tene culture, while information regarding contemporary cemeteries is missing. The sword most probably comes from a destroyed warrior grave, for which analogies are found in the cemeteries of the Taurisci an the Scordisci as well as in the wider area of the Carpathian basin.
