Sažetak
During the archaeological excavation of Rijeka Principia, a large amount of Roman, late medieval, post medieval and modern coins was found. Apart from the coins, in this article jetons, saint and other medallions, lead bulls and other objects found in the same place were described as well because it is a common practice they are analyzed together with the coins. Altogether 124 examples of coins together with 7 other numismatic finds were found. Among the coins, 76 examples represent Roman coins, 10 finds can be attributed to the period before 19th century and 30 finds date from the 19th and 20th century. As much as 116 coins have been dated with certainty or at least, approximately periodically defined, while 8 coins were impossible to date. There have not been systematic numismatic work for Rijeka area in archaeological sense so this article, in fact, represents the first illustration of a certain town area through numismatic finds.
