Sažetak
Bird impact damage in aircraft structure has been investigated using explicit transient dynamic analysis by ABAQUS/Explicit. Various failure modes have been investigated such as CFRP face layer rupture, damage initiation in Nomex core and elastoplastic behaviour of metallic structure. Parametric analysis has been performed using different impact locations and velocity vectors.
